Accessories: Missile Launcher, "Mission City Battle" backdrop, sawblade
Studio Series Starscream transforms into a licensed Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor, borrowing a lot of its engineering from the Dark of the Moon Deluxe mold. As such, he has peg holes in many of the same spots. There are two major changes added during the up-scaling process—an extra peg hole in the middle of his robot mode back to store his weapon, and extra chest panels that fold away under his wings. He comes with a non-firing missile launcher/claw that can be mounted onto his wrists by folding back his hands. Unfortunately, his eyelids are painted over in the same color as his eyes. As Studio Series prioritizes scale, Starscream stands taller than Optimus Prime. He also comes with a cardboard backdrop depicting the battle of Mission City.
The initial sample displayed at a Chinese fan event[5] and one of the final-product Hasbro stock photos both depict him having a sawblade accessory that is not included with the released figure. The sawblade was later included (in place of the missile launcher accessory) with the Revenge of the Fallen-inspired redeco of the figure below.
